Don't believe everything @EDFExercise tells you about nuclear power!
They are COVERING IT UP to save their own behinds.
Look up how the nuclear industry covered up a fire in Sellafield in the 1950s.
Someone died today, but what are they NOT telling us?
#nuclearcoverup

I've got a small allotment - is my food safe? I was just about to go and dig up some radishes and carrots tonight but now I'm not so sure #edfexercise

I see the police and EDF are admitting their mistake in using that confusing old map to tell terrified members of the public about the radiation leak today #mapgate #edfexercise

We are saddened to hear of the death of a man at #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak . We will be asking robust questions to the government and to @EDFExercise about this incident and about the safety of nuclear power in this country. #NuclearEmergency

I'm glad I don't work for @EDFExercise if that's how they acknowledge one their own workers who's sadly died after the #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak
A man is dead. Have some respect!

After watching the press conference after the #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak it's clearer than ever that nuclear power is UNSAFE. What's worse is that @EDFExercise seemed to gloss over the death of one of their own workers without any emotion whatsoever.

So shocked and saddened that someone has died in the #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak - Finally spoke to my daughter who works at @EDFExercise and she is safe but very shaken. She said staff there have been worried about something like this for ages

So, someone's died at the #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak . Thoughts and prayers to the family. But why are we only hearing about this so late in the day @EDFExercise ? Smacks of a cover-up. What else aren't they telling us...

@EDFExercise say the killed man was working for them as part of a "working group" within the Hartlepool nuclear power station this morning. #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak

We still have no guidance over where is safe and where isn't @EDFExercise 😡 Some of our members are in Graythorp in the danger zone, some in Greatham. Don't they know that radiation won't just STOP at their barrier! Idiots! #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak

If you're wondering where the disaster zone is, it's somewhere near the pig’s ear.
(Yes, that’s genuinely how we’re supposed to navigate this map.)
@EDFExercise – get a grip.

Lots of our members live in and around #Graythorp which is in the danger zone of the #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak . Radiation won't just stop at the line will it? What are supposed to do @EDFExercise ?

EDF has sparked a wave of public anger after releasing a disaster response map that critics say looks like it was “ripped from a 1970s geography textbook.”
The map, shared as part of a public emergency exercise by @EDFExercise , was widely mocked on social media for its lack of clarity, outdated design, and failure to clearly show which areas are affected.
“Not heard of Google?!” one frustrated user posted, summing up the sentiment of many who felt the map was unfit for modern-day use in crisis communication.
EDF has yet to respond to the backlash.

There's a map been released which shows a red line outside the @EDFExercise zone . Not sure radiation knows how to stop at a red line though!

So @EDFExercise put out a disaster map from a 1970s geography textbook. How are we supposed to see clearly where is affected. Not heard of Google?!

The latest from @EDFExercise includes a map of the affected area. They claim only nearby business need worry - hundreds of you are getting in contact with us asking for advice.

As your local representative it's my job to take your concerns to @EDFExercise and you're telling me they're not telling you enough! I understand there's issues with getting more info from the police about what to do . Contact your local police station if you're not sure

Still no word from my daughter who works at @EDFExercise in Hartlepool. Anyone else know if their loved ones who work there are safe?!! #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak

So @BBCNews saying the age of Hartlepool's nuclear power station got nothing to do with a radiation leak. COME ON, @EDFExercise REALLY?! Stop treating us like morons! #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak

Mark Lees from @EDFExercise talks about "minimising further release of radiation". The problem is the risk of accidents and radiation is REAL from ageing power stations like Hartlepool as shown today.

@EDFExercise Mark Lees this is an utter shambles. You keep saying the handling of a #NuclearPowerLeak 'well practiced', but seriously how long does it take whether everyone at the site is safe? Our advice is never to trust nuclear power again!
The station is on its ageing knees and this now proves that power stations should never have a life extension.

Well looks like Hartlepool's going up in a nuclear cloud and @EDFExercise were just on the telly giving no reassurance whatsoever. Absolute Jokers! Come and have a pint with us if the world's ending...

It looks like the people responsible for this leak are devolving responsibility. It's as if they're hiding something from us! He said people outside this exclusion zone are safe but how does he know! It's a 'vapour' according to the reporter so it could spread everywhere. @EDFExercise

Worrying watching the boss of @EDFExercise on ITV just now about the #NuclearEmergency . Are we safe to put on our events?

This Mark Lees chap from @EDFExercise doesn't say how far this exclusion zone actually extends? 3 miles? 5 miles? 10 miles? Am I in danger or not!?? #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak

#HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak With it being quite breezy today can @EDFExercise explain how they will contain this leak?

How are you supposed to go and get #IodineTablets AND stay indoors?! Pretty sure Amazon don't deliver them! I bet the @EDFExercise bosses have been taking them to protect themselves while we all burn in #ChernobylOnSea

Can we urgently get some advice on whether it's safe for children to take #IodineTablets ? We want to keep our pupils safe but we're not getting any official advice @EDFExercise @HartlepoolBC
