Don't believe everything @EDFExercise tells you about nuclear power!
They are COVERING IT UP to save their own behinds.
Look up how the nuclear industry covered up a fire in Sellafield in the 1950s.
Someone died today, but what are they NOT telling us?

2/2... action at this time.
All staff at the nuclear power station are accounted for and are in a safe area within the plant. Sadly, we can confirm one man has died as a result of the incident. The family of the man have been informed, and our thoughts remain with them at this extremely difficult time.
Three other men have been taken to hospital.
Emergency services are working closely with EDF and other agencies to respond to the incident and the safety of the public remains paramount.

I see the police and EDF are admitting their mistake in using that confusing old map to tell terrified members of the public about the radiation leak today #mapgate #edfexercise

“Information blackout” during a nuclear incident?
That’s not crisis management, that’s cover-up.
EDF playing fast and loose with public safety AGAIN.

So there’s a radiation leak in Hartlepool and we’re only now hearing about it? What happened to transparency? People have a right to know when they’re in danger. #Hartlepool #EDF

Authorities dealing with today's radiation leak in Hartlepool have defended a so called 'information blackout' after the incident was first reported this morning. EDF say they did issue essential guidance when it first happened which they say was vital for the health of those living nearby.

We are saddened to hear of the death of a man at #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak . We will be asking robust questions to the government and to @EDFExercise about this incident and about the safety of nuclear power in this country. #NuclearEmergency

EDF say it will be unhelpful to speculate as to what time the fatality occurred at #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak . 1 man has died and 3 others were taken to two different hospitals. The alarm went off at 9am and emergency services were called to deal with the leak. More to follow.

I'm glad I don't work for @EDFExercise if that's how they acknowledge one their own workers who's sadly died after the #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak
A man is dead. Have some respect!

After watching the press conference after the #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak it's clearer than ever that nuclear power is UNSAFE. What's worse is that @EDFExercise seemed to gloss over the death of one of their own workers without any emotion whatsoever.

So shocked and saddened that someone has died in the #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak - Finally spoke to my daughter who works at @EDFExercise and she is safe but very shaken. She said staff there have been worried about something like this for ages

We still have no guidance over where is safe and where isn't @EDFExercise 😡 Some of our members are in Graythorp in the danger zone, some in Greatham. Don't they know that radiation won't just STOP at their barrier! Idiots! #HartlepoolNuclearPowerLeak

If you're wondering where the disaster zone is, it's somewhere near the pig’s ear.
(Yes, that’s genuinely how we’re supposed to navigate this map.)
@EDFExercise – get a grip.

Just seen the EDF disaster map.
I think it’s supposed to show affected areas, but all I can see is a pig. 🐖
What year is this—1974?

EDF has sparked a wave of public anger after releasing a disaster response map that critics say looks like it was “ripped from a 1970s geography textbook.”
The map, shared as part of a public emergency exercise by @EDFExercise , was widely mocked on social media for its lack of clarity, outdated design, and failure to clearly show which areas are affected.
“Not heard of Google?!” one frustrated user posted, summing up the sentiment of many who felt the map was unfit for modern-day use in crisis communication.
EDF has yet to respond to the backlash.

There's a map been released which shows a red line outside the @EDFExercise zone . Not sure radiation knows how to stop at a red line though!

So @EDFExercise put out a disaster map from a 1970s geography textbook. How are we supposed to see clearly where is affected. Not heard of Google?!
